What’s Involved
Your key responsibilities as a Machine Operator will be to produce components from raw materials using an CNC Machine, in a safe & timely manner, and to the required standards.
· Operate an CNC Machine effectively, efficiently & with confidence, all whilst keeping a strong safety initiative
· Use all materials in an efficient manner, & to the required standards & protocols
· Carry out weekly maintenance work on the CNC Machine, and as required to ensure
· the machine is kept to a high standard
· Keep the Maintenance Log up to date & accurate with any maintenance or work done on the CNC Machine
· Update the maintenance log Maintain excellent accuracy & quality of work carried out on the CNC Machine
· Have a proactive & positive attitude towards safety in the workplace, by working safely and encouraging safe work procedures by your team.
· Report any potential safety hazards to your Supervisor in a timely manner
You’ll Need
· Desire to learn new skills
· Be a team player with a "can do attitude"
· Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills
· Good initiative and problem-solving ability
· Ability to work unsupervised.
· Ability to meet targets and schedules as set by the supervisor
· Basic knowledge of standard software used in the CNC environment (e.g. AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Word)
· Intermediate computer literacy skills
· Ability to comprehend construction and layout drawings
· Construction white card
· Cert III Trade Certificate (Desirable)
